Description

Castaway Island Water Park is the water park component of Topeekeegee Yugnee Park — universally known as TY Park — a 138-acre Broward County public park located at 3300 North Park Road in Hollywood, Florida, approximately 20 minutes north of Miami. The park takes its name from a Seminole term meaning ‘meeting or gathering place,’ and its natural surroundings, including mature oak trees, a large lake, walking paths, and green spaces, give it a noticeably different character from commercial water parks. Castaway Island features two distinct interactive water playgrounds: a toddler-friendly zone for children under five with gentle climbing structures and small slides, and a larger older-kids playground with dumping buckets, water guns, slides, and a variety of spray features. The central attraction is a zero-entry hard-bottom Swim Lagoon with a scenic waterfall, providing a natural-feeling swimming environment for all ages. Admission to Castaway Island is highly affordable at $9.50 per person all-day, with a discounted rate after 3pm. TY Park’s entry fee is $3 per vehicle on weekends and public holidays only. The water park is open on weekends and public holidays, generally from March through October each year. Broward County also offers a seasonal pass covering all four county water parks.
