Description
Funfields is a 15.7-hectare family-owned outdoor theme park in Whittlesea, approximately 40 km north of Melbourne. Established in 1985 and continuously expanded, the park is now one of Victoria’s four major theme parks and attracts over 200,000 visitors per season. Its water attractions are the centrepiece, featuring several ProSlide water slides — including the Gravity Wave, recognised as the world’s biggest, longest, and tallest ProSlide Wave at the time of its opening — the Volcano Beach outdoor heated wave pool (opened 2018), and the new Lava Lagoon lazy river with wave generators, which underwent a major $10 million upgrade that was completed for the 2024/2025 season. The park also features dry rides including Voodoo 360, the only full looping pendulum ride in Australia, the Blackbeard’s Fury pirate ship, and the Supanova water coaster. Open seasonally from 1 November to 12 April, the 2025/2026 season is confirmed on the official website. Tickets are height-based and include unlimited access to all attractions.
