Rapids Water Park

Rapids Water Park is South Florida’s premier water park, located at 6566 North Military Trail in Riviera Beach, Palm Beach County, approximately 90 miles north of Miami. Founded in 1979, the park has grown to over 35 acres and now features more than 40 slides and attractions across a range of thrill categories. The newest major addition is Mega Mayhem, Florida’s first dueling water coaster and the longest dueling water coaster in North America, which replaced the park’s Ole’ Yeller in 2024. Additional headline attractions include Big Thunder, a ProSlide Tornado with a 45-degree drop and zero-gravity funnel, the dual seven-story speed slides, Tubin’ Tornadoes, a 1,000-foot tunnel tube ride, and the 0.25-mile Lazy River for relaxed floating. The park features a 25,000-square-foot wave pool, a FlowRider surf simulator for body boarding, and two dedicated children’s sections including Squirt’s Splash Zone with a tipping bucket structure. Cabana rentals, tube rentals, on-site dining, and a convenient afternoon Sunset Special discount rate are available. The park is open daily during the summer season from late spring through Labour Day weekend, with weekend-only hours in September through November. It is closed from December through February. The 2026 season began with a Spring Break celebration opening.
