Hotel Ambrosia

Hotel Ambrosia is a small, owner-run boutique hotel located in the historic heart of Ypres, just 300 metres from the main square and a five-minute walk from the Menin Gate. Founded in 2008, the family-run property combines a warm, personal approach with clean and comfortable rooms, making it a favourite among returning guests. Each room is equipped with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, free Wi-Fi, individual climate control, and a private en-suite shower room with hairdryer. All bedding is feather-free, catering to guests with allergies. Highlights of the stay include the hearty breakfast — available as a full cooked option (eggs, bacon, toast) or a generous cold buffet featuring local breads, pastries, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cheeses, and home-made spreads. Secure bicycle storage is provided free of charge. The hotel is pet-free and smoke-free throughout. With its attentive hosts, excellent reviews, and central yet quiet position, Hotel Ambrosia is especially appreciated by couples and solo travellers who value authenticity and personal service at a fair price.
